The London Eye
At first sight, you may get the feeling that you are at the fair on the London Eye ferris wheel. Riding the London Eye is better than an experience at the fair, because it is the the tallest ferris wheel in the Western Hemisphere! Also known as the Millenium Wheel, it was opened in 1999 and stands at over 443ft. (135 meters) high. It is a colorful spectacle at night and on its 30 minute ride, you can see the entire city of London. Unlike most ferris wheels, each of its “pod” capsules are air-conditioned and can hold a fairly large group of people at one time. With 3D, you can get the feeling of flying like a bird. The ride is slow and does not stop frequently. Its height and angle allows you to catch a better view for photo and video footage of all your favorite attractions.
